Octagon Foods LLP is a leading agribusiness company engaged in soybean solvent extraction and the edible oil business.
The owner of Octagon Foods LLP, Mr. Abhijeet Mandhana, is committed to building a business that contributes to a sustainable global society. As an edible oil manufacturer, the facility has high energy consumption, and rising electricity tariffs were increasing operational costs each year. The client required a reliable and cost-effective energy solution to offset this growing energy demand while supporting long-term sustainability goals.
The project presented several operational and technical challenges:
The high-tech manufacturing facility required a solar solution that strictly adhered to health and safety standards.
System installation needed to be executed without disrupting ongoing refinery operations.
The site experienced significant dust accumulation, which could impact system performance if not addressed through proper design and planning.
Infisol Energy closely evaluated Octagon Foods’ operational requirements and designed a cost-effective rooftop PV solar solution tailored to the facility’s needs. The system was implemented with minimal operational disruption and designed to handle dust-related challenges efficiently.
Currently, more than 50 percent of the plant’s electrical load is successfully compensated through solar energy, helping the client achieve substantial cost savings while reducing dependence on conventional power sources.
